Sterling Silver Stud Earrings
Stud earring sizes generally fall into three categories — tiny studs (3-6mm), regular studs (6-10mm), and large or statement studs (10mm+). Tiny studs are dainty, barely-there pieces — perfect for stacking with hoops and dangles, or for second and third piercings. Regular studs (6-10mm) are the most versatile and work beautifully for everyday wear. Large statement studs (10mm+) become a focal point — wear alone, or pair with smaller earrings further up the ear.
Exact dimensions are listed on each product page.
If you have multiple piercings, mix and match hoops, studs, and dangles to create your own ear party. Start with longer earrings at the lobe and decrease in size as you go further up the ear. Play with asymmetry — your earrings don't have to match — or create something cohesive, like pairing pearl hoops with pearl dangles. Why not opt for ear cuffs for a cartilage earring look without the need for a piercing, or a double hoop earring for the multi-piercing effect? Have fun with it!
Our sterling silver studs are hypoallergenic and nickel-free, making them a great choice for sensitive ears. While pure silver is gentle on skin, the remaining 7.5% copper content may occasionally cause reactions in those with very sensitive skin. To minimise any risk, keep your stud earrings clean and dry, and ensure they are stored properly when not in use.
925 sterling silver is a beautiful, high-quality metal — and with a little care, it will stay looking its best for years to come. Although it can tarnish over time due to factors like skin type, perfume, humidity, and air exposure, it's very easy to restore its shine.
To keep your earrings looking their best:
- Store in an airtight container, away from air, water, and light.
- Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume, hairspray, and creams, and remove before bathing or showering.
- If tarnish appears, simply buff with the polishing cloth included with your order or a silver cleaning solution and your earrings will look as good as new.
After each wear, give your sterling silver earrings a quick buff with a polishing cloth to remove any oils or residue — this goes a long way in preventing tarnish buildup. For earrings worn regularly, a more thorough clean every two to four weeks is recommended. If you only wear them occasionally, clean them before and after each use before storing. If tarnish does appear, address it as soon as possible — the sooner you treat it, the easier it is to restore their shine.
